Early Edo Period Katana Signed & Dated by Naotsugu

The blade is in good overall condition. Signed Dewa no Kuni Fujiwara Naotsugu saku (出羽國藤原直継作), dated Kan’ei era 1626 (寛永三年二月日). Early Edo period. Two minor surface kizu on the blade and another slight kizu located beneath the Habaki, please see photos.

• Saya: Traditional black lacquered scabbard, an old, visibly flawed repair attempt on the saya (see last picture)
