1. General Accessories & Small Items (Tsuba, Koshirae, etc.)

All small items and accessories are dispatched directly from Japan, within a few days, fully insured using EMS (Japan Post).

Delivery Time: Once shipped, standard air transit typically takes around 10 to 20 days.
No Restrictions: These items do not require government export permits and are shipped worldwide without delay.

2. Antique Japanese Swords (Katana, Wakizashi, Tanto)

Due to strict Japanese laws and international regulations regarding historical weaponry, antique swords follow a specific legal process:

Step 1: The Official Export Permit (3 Weeks) The export of authentic Japanese swords (Nihonto) is strictly regulated by the Japanese Government. Before any blade can leave the country, we must obtain an official export permit from the Agency for Cultural Affairs. Processing this legal authorization takes approximately 3 weeks.
Step 2: Specialized Shipping Methods Once the permit is granted, we automatically adapt our transport provider based on your country to ensure safe customs clearance:
- Standard Air Shipping (EMS – Japan Post): Used for destinations that accept weaponry via postal airmails (including the USA, France or Germany). Transit takes around 10 to 20 days, and all shipments are fully insured.
- Express Courier Shipping (OCS / ANA Group): Automatically applied for European destinations where standard postal services restrict swords (such as Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, etc.). This ensures secure, private customs clearance, full insurance coverage and swift delivery. Transit takes around 2 to 4 business days.

Alternative Shipping Options (Surface Mail) If you prefer Surface Mail (Ocean Freight) to reduce shipping costs, or if your country is not automatically covered at checkout, please contact us. Note that Surface Mail delivery generally takes between 2 to 3 months.

If I cannot ship your item for reasons outside my control (such as country/customs restrictions), I will cancel the order. The payment will be cancelled immediately and you will get a full refund.

Please note: I cannot ship swords to Russia, China, United Kingdom, Brazil, Australia, Canada, or Belgium. If you are unsure about your country’s customs regulations, please contact me before buying.

Please note that the item price does not include customs duties, import taxes, or vat. Any additional charges incurred at customs are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

Returns and Refunds

If an item does not match its description, it may be eligible for a return

To qualify, the item must be shipped back within 3 days of receipt.

Return shipping costs and any associated fees are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. The item must be returned in its original, undamaged, and unaltered condition to receive a refund.
