Shipping and Returns
1. General Accessories & Small Items (Tsuba, Koshirae, etc.)
All small items and accessories are dispatched directly from Japan, within a few days, fully insured using EMS (Japan Post).
- Delivery Time: Once shipped, standard air transit typically takes around 10 to 20 days.
- No Restrictions: These items do not require government export permits and are shipped worldwide without delay.
Free shipping on all orders delivered within Japan, regardless of the shipping method selected.
2. Antique Japanese Swords (Katana, Wakizashi, Tanto)
Due to strict Japanese laws and international regulations regarding historical weaponry, antique swords follow a specific legal process:
- Step 1: The Official Export Permit (3 Weeks) The export of authentic Japanese swords (Nihonto) is strictly regulated by the Japanese Government. Before any blade can leave the country, we must obtain an official export permit from the Agency for Cultural Affairs. Processing this legal authorization takes approximately 3 weeks.
Step 2: Shipping Methods & Country Restrictions Once the export permit is granted by the Japanese Government, your sword will be prepared for international transit. Due to strict customs regulations, we handle shipments carefully based on your location:
- Standard Destinations (EMS – Japan Post): All shipments to the United States (US), France, and Germany are sent via EMS. This service is fully insured, includes real-time tracking, and takes approximately 10 to 20 days to arrive after dispatch.
- Other Destinations: For any other countries (including Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, etc.), international regulations vary greatly. Please contact us directly before purchasing so we can evaluate if shipping is possible via surface mail (boat) or alternate specialized routes.
- Prohibited Countries: Please note that due to absolute customs bans or local legislation regarding weaponry, we are unable to ship any swords to Russia and Belgium. Orders from these countries cannot be processed.
If I cannot ship your item for reasons outside my control (such as country/customs restrictions), I will cancel the order. The payment will be cancelled immediately and you will get a full refund.
Please note that the item price does not include customs duties, import taxes, or VAT. Any additional charges incurred at customs are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

Returns and Refunds
If an item does not match its description, it may be eligible for a return
To qualify, the item must be shipped back within 3 days of receipt.
Return shipping costs and any associated fees are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. The item must be returned in its original, undamaged, and unaltered condition to receive a refund.
