Tokubetsu Hozon Tsuba Signed Masahiro and Naoyoshi
€1,400.00
+ ShippingAn authentic iron Nade-kaku-gata (rounded rectangular) Tsuba from the Edo period, certified Tokubetsu Hozon by the NBTHK.
The piece features a detailed Kiku-zukushi (all-over chrysanthemum) design carved in Takabori (high relief), densely covering the entire surface of the iron plate. The intricate composition is highlighted with gold damascene inlays (Kinzōgan) representing dew drops on the petals—a classic Japanese symbol of longevity, royalty, and autumn elegance. The signature on the seppa-dai reads Fujiwara Masahiro with carving attributed to Fujūken Naoyoshi (Fujūken Naoyoshi hori / 不重軒直美彫之).
